Nov 11, 2013 (Bedford, MA) –– EHS firm Safety Partners, Inc. today announced the appointment of Chesley Chen as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Chesley will oversee operations and strategic planning, including administration, marketing, and service delivery. Safety Partners, Inc., a pioneer in EHS for the life sciences industry, has provided workplace safety and compliance services to more than 275 laboratory and technology companies throughout New England since its founding in 1992.
Chesley brings over three decades of business-building experience across various industries and organizations, and a unique blend of corporate financial management, client relationship building, and executive leadership skill. As Chief Executive Officer of the Warner Babcock Institute for Green Chemistry LLC, Chesley led this early-stage, research-based venture to its first-ever profitability.

Chesley joined Safety Partners from Good Measures LLC, where he was Executive Vice President and where he currently serves as Board Advisor. Chesley holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Tufts, a MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, and a Master of Business Administration form Harvard Business School. He is an industry advisor at the Tufts Gordon Institute.
