Our Consulting Safety Officers regularly provide new employee and annual safety training seminars at each client site on a variety of topics, including OSHA's requirements for Hazard Communication, The Laboratory Standard, Bloodborne Pathogens, as well as additional regulatory requirements for training in recombinant DNA, the safe use, storage, and disposal of chemical, biological, and radioactive materials, emergency preparedness, and in-house safety policies and procedures. Our training, which is included in the comprehensive safety program, is tailored specifically to the safety programs and systems in place at each client so that, in addition to covering general regulatory compliance topics, it is practical training focused on the work and processes of each client's individual work groups. We also design custom training programs for safety in machine shops, engineering labs, warehouses, and animal facilities, as well as ergonomics training for both lab and administrative environments. Our training efforts are highly successful because we help clients learn to anticipate, recognize, assess, and control their own workplace risk.
