Safety Partners is focused solely on the safety needs of small
and mid-size biotechnology companies, making our company the
unrivaled EHS expert for this market. We provide our clients with
over 50 years of combined experience in custom, and
performance-based program development, implementation, and
management of safety programs according to local, state, and federal
regulations. The uniquely personal, practical, and hands-on approach
of our expert staff significantly reduces the costs associated with
workplace risk, maximizes employee productivity, and increases our
clients' profitability.
Safety Partners develops extensive chemical, biological, and
radiation safety programs, including the procurement, use, and
disposal of hazardous materials, as well as programs for emergency
preparedness, animal care and use, guidance on safe facility design,
and ergonomics. We also provide custom training for each facet of
the comprehensive safety program and guide clients through the
myriad of ever-changing regulatory requirements, including the
required permits and licenses for the storage, use, and disposal of
hazardous materials.
Dedicated Consulting Safety Officers provide
hands-on EHS services
Safety Partners takes a very hands-on, customized approach to
providing EHS services for our clients. We typically fill the role
of a Consulting Safety Officer, where we work on site each week for
a pre-determined number of hours. Our Consulting Safety Officers
develop, implement, and manage safety programs that minimize
hazards, protect employees and the environment, and ensure
compliance. They handle every facet of a client's safety program,
including securing permits and licenses, writing and editing
manuals, writing and implementing protocols, establishing an
emergency preparedness plan, maintaining detailed documentation,
initiating waste systems, providing new employee and annual
training, and chairing safety committee meetings. They also perform
routine, hands-on safety tasks, such as handling, pouring, and
managing waste, testing safety eyewash and shower stations, weekly
radiation monitoring and documentation, and ensuring that all safety
programs are current. And, since we believe that communication about
safety issues is critical at all levels of the organization, our
Consulting Safety Officers work with everyone in the organization,
from senior management to shipping and receiving, to ensure that the
safety program encompasses and accommodates each particular work
area and lab group. We find that since our Consulting Safety
Officers integrate well into each client's staff, the staff feels
comfortable with our presence and confident in our expertise, and
responds by raising questions and concerns to our Consulting Safety
Officers. The result is a dynamic program where safety becomes part
of the company culture and employees feel empowered to
participate.
Practical services are tailored to meet each
client's needs
Our company is focused on offering practical services to our
clients. Which means that we provide our clients with customized
safety programs that are no more or less than what they need. We
work with clients to identify, assess, and control workplace
hazards. So, if we find the client's staff can learn from us and
implement the program on their own, without negatively impacting the
productivity of their scientists and other personnel, we are happy
to reduce our hours as appropriate. Conversely, if our client grows
quickly and their staff does not have enough time to effectively
manage their safety program, we can increase our hours quickly in
response to their needs. Together, with our clients, we regularly
evaluate and reevaluate the number of hours needed by each
client.
